MX as an album was good, but it was the summer leading to it that was incredible. The hype for MX was perfect, the summer of festival shows HOPING for another new tune, and listening to crappy youtube rips of Hurts Like Heaven. Their catalog wasn't so diluted that you still got stuff like God Put A Smile, Cemeteries of London, Politik, etc. These shows had the perfect blend of their first 4 albums, with some really good hits from MX. The buildup to MX was the best period to be a Coldplay fan and nothing will be the same. I always loved the live 2011 version of God Put a Smile on your Face.
